How often should I come in for a cleaning?
For most patients, we recommend a professional cleaning and exam every six months. Regular visits let us catch small issues — like cavities or early gum disease — before they turn into bigger problems. If you have a history of gum disease or other concerns, Dr. Shuff or Dr. Li may suggest more frequent visits to keep your smile healthy.

Meet our Doctors
Dr. Steven L. Shuff uses his kind of friendly disposition to create a comfortable dental experience for all who see him. In 1984 he graduated from the University of the Pacific's dental program. In 1987 he started his own practice and has been in Doctors Park since 2004. Dr. Shuff grew up in Concord. He has wanted to be a dentist from the time he was a small child. in 1977 he graduated from Ygnacio Valley High School and became an Eagle Scout. He now lives in Walnut Creek with his wife, Jeanne, while his two daughters live in Oregon after attending college in the Pacific Northwest.

Dr. Lilly Li received her BS degree from UC Berkley in 1987 and Graduated from Boston University Dental School in 1991. Following graduation she did one year of General Practice Residency at Sepulveda VA hospital to gain more knowledge about medicine in relation to general dentistry. She also attended one year Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency program at the University to the Pacific to get further training in cosmetic dentistry. Dr. Li joined Dr. Shuff's family practice in 2000. She is friendly, patient and meticulous. Her practice philosophy is to treat everyone with honesty and respect and to do the best dental work in each individual case. Dr. Li speaks English and Mandarin Chinese. She enjoys treating adult patients as well as children.
